Interview with Antonio Garrigues, judge of Novia salcedo Awards
The NoviaSalcedo Awards have a significant background in promoting employability. Do you think the Foundation is doing a good job in this regard?
It is doing a good job and, above all, a serious and well-thought-out job. This is a huge problem and it must be dealt with seriously. These are the examples we are seeking.
Training and integrating young people is one of the requirements taken into account for an enterprise to be worthy of our awards. Do you think the prize will help the winner in the future?
No doubt about it. Anyone who wins the prize will benefit and it will serve as a reference point and example for young people and also for companies.
We have added a category that rewards the Public Administrations this year. Do you agree that public-private partnerships favour youth employment and integration policies?
The synergy between public and private agents in the field of employment, and also in other fields, is an obligation rather than an option and, therefore, this new category is essential. We have to be particularly sensitive of any public institutions that seek this collaboration and reward them.
Women, green economy, work-family conciliation… are aspects that we assess carefully in SMEs. Do you see these as essential aspects in the development of small businesses?
The three areas are, and you will need to add the adaptation to technological changes, and in particular to the digital world.
Finally, why did you decide to accept the invitation to become a member of the jury of the NoviaSalcedo Awards?
It is a well-designed and well-organised award and that generates a good environment to belong to a jury. In addition, you learn many interesting things and you have a good time.
